ABSTRACT The Business side of Dreamworking Nicole Gratton Nicole Gratton has a diploma in nuclear medicine. She worked in hospitals for 24 years. Since 1994, she wrote 10 books in French on dreams and sleep. She teaches dream classes and writes for many magazines in Quebec. She also acts as a sleep consultant. She appeared on many television shows in Canada. She founded the first dream school in Montreal. Summary of Presentation The Business side of Dreamworking How to earn a living as a dreamworker For every person interested to teach dreams and for dreamworkers ready to publicize their activities. - Review different kind of incomes: consultation, workshops, speeches and books. - Evaluate the marketing aspects and how to use networking.
Abstract This Focused Discussion Session will center on how to earn a living as a dreamworker. This session is for every person interested in how to teach dreams and for dreamworkers or specialists in dreams ready to publicize his or her activities. We will discuss and share our experiences and learn more about the business side of dreamworking.
We will review different kind of incomes: consultation, workshops, speeches, seminars, books and also the marketing aspects: business cards, pamphlets, posters, advertising (magazines, newspaper, and media); networking (community events, business meeting); writing (articles, chronicles, interviews, books). I will also share how I founded a dream school in Montreal. This portion will include the 3 components of the project: having sufficient learning material, creating a team of teachers and building good credibility as a writer.
