AT EARN UP TO 25 UNITS OF CE CREDIT FROM
THE ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF DREAMS. 1) The ASD Dream Studies Continuing
Education (CE) Program For professionals and students in the mental health, health, and education fields, designated parts of the conference will offer ASD Dream Studies Continuing Education (CE) Credits. These events are marked in the conference program. One may attend any event during the 4-day conference, but only certain workshops, lectures, and symposia that are marked by the letters CE are eligible for CE credit. Many CE events can be chosen from during the conference. Events accredited by the California BBS are marked BBS. Events accredited by Division 32 of the American Psychological Association are marked 32 in the program. PAYMENT OF $20 CE PROCESSING FEE CE units will NOT be issued unless the $20 CE registration fee has been paid in advance when registering for the conference or paid at registration at the start of the conference. CERTIFICATES Certificates are issued for successful completion of Dream Studies Continuing Education (CE) hours. The certificate provides a permanent record of training that may be applicable for insurance panels, hospital staff status, or independent study credit at educational institutions. Please keep in mind that each state and each profession’s licensing board may have different requirements. ASD CE hours can potentially be used to document training that may be required for admittance or continuation on insurance panels, on hospital or clinic staffs, or in educational institutions. CE credit is not synonymous with any kind of academic credit. However, CE credit may become part of independent study credit if the academic institution agrees to accept the credit. In general, CE hours can provide a permanent record of training received for varied professional purposes. ASD cannot guarantee that any particular license board will accept the CE units obtained at this conference. ASD maintains records of CE units earned.
A certificate is issued at the end of the conference when all evaluation
forms have been completed and CE monitors have checked the CE attendance
log. Credits must be checked by monitors during the conference and
tallied at the end of the conference if CE credit is to be awarded. ASD
will not mail a certificate unless requested and can only grant the
receipt of a certificate if all procedures listed above have been
followed. There is a $25.00 handling fee imposed by ASD if a replacement
certificate is requested. Suggestions or comments about these programs
or the ASD CE credit program may be directed to: ASD CE Chair, Alan
Siegel, Ph.D. at either
Dreamsdr@aol.com or through the ASD Central office at
asdcentraloffice@aol.com . 1) Pay CE Fees or show receipt or
registration form indicating payment. REMEMBER: A room monitor must initial each event attended and the completed CE booklet must be turned in at the end of the conference to receive a certificate.
