Enjoying the Conference…

With nearly one hundred presenters scheduled to stimulate and stir dream life, several special events and social gatherings are planned to help relax and inspire fun.

Opening Reception
Friday evening, June 27

Celia Briar and her Celtic Harp

Join us for a memorable opening. Ring in twenty years of dreaming as we listen to the soothing sounds of Celia Briar and her Celtic Harp.

The Dreaming Harp

Come enjoy a gathering with friends and colleagues as we celebrate a milestone gathering. Let the magic of the harp carry us across twenty years of dreaming together and sooth us into a first night of dreams.

Celia currently resides in New Zealand, where she has performed extensively and where her music is regularly played on National Radio. She has delighted audiences throughout Britain, Sweden, France and Australia, with this performance being her first musical engagement in the US. A former all-Ireland champion harp player, Celia plays folk tunes from the British Isles and Western Europe, plus compositions of her own. She has made four CDs, the two most recent of which, The Garden of Daisies and Foxglove, will be available at the conference.

Morning Dream Groups and Yoga
Saturday – Tuesday mornings, June 28 – July 1

For the early risers, look for morning dream groups to return. And a special addition to this year's conference is morning yoga with Jim Emery, an instructor since 1980. Prepare gently for the coming day by soothing away the nightly kinks. In addition to Yoga postures, Jim will share a special Yoga practice for fountain of youth renewal called the Five Tibetan Rites.

Dream Lunch Buffet
Saturday – Sunday afternoon, June 28 – 29

Join us at lunchtime at the Radisson’s Bay Grill and Lounge on both Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29 for the Dream Lunch Buffet. Mingle with friends and associates with the San Francisco Bay as your backdrop.

Registration deadline for the Buffet is now past.

Tickets are limited and need to be ordered by June 12. See the conference registration form for details. The Dream Lunch Buffet is $25, including tax and service, for both days.

Art Reception
Saturday evening, June 28

Join us at the opening art reception as we celebrate the art of dreams and the dreams of art. A web-based art show premieres in conjunction with a limited on-site art show from June 27 – July 1, 2003.

While soaking in the beauty of the exhibit, come be enraptured by the mystical sounds of Iasos.

Dream Travel – Music for Consciousness-Traveling

Explore the use of music in deepening our dream explorations. Together, let us discover how music can be used for "wakeful dreaming" and how it can also be used to optimize dreams during sleep. Come join us for an experiential journey as we undertake some vivid "wakeful dreaming" to music!

Iasos began working with higher-dimensional music in 1967, which he then referred to as "paradise music" because he felt it would have an uplifting, spiritually invigorating, healing and harmonizing effect on listeners. Iasos is one of the original founders of "New Age" music and specializes in celestial and healing music.

Energizing Your Dreams With Tai Chi
Monday afternoon, June 30

Come explore Tai Chi and how its practice can lead to understanding and actualizing our dreams. We will practice a simple yet powerful method for clearing the mind in preparation of dreaming. Learn how to reduce stress and increase the body's sensitivity to subtle energies so that we can interpret our dream messages. Discover how to maximize your vitality so you can manifest your dream.

Starfire, Ph.D. has been teaching Tai Chi at the University of California at Berkeley since 1996. In addition to martial arts, he also teaches a scientific system of healing that balances the body's energy field. He has taught doctors, dentists, psychotherapists, chiropractors, and body workers at colleges, community centers, and schools in Hawaii and California.

20th Anniversary Auction
Monday evening, June 30

To celebrate 20 years of dreaming, the Association is once-again staging our ever-popular auction. Look to spend a fun-filled evening among friends and colleagues supporting a cause and Association dear to us all. Come prepared to bid on never before dreamt of items in both the silent and live auction.

Dream Ball
Tuesday evening, July 1

The conference concludes with the ever popular, and now traditional, Dream Ball. Come dressed as your favorite dream character and prepare to share an evening filled with the unexpected. Who knows – perhaps you will be the best Freudian dream character?

Dream Film Festival

Building upon the popular dream film series from the 2001 Santa Cruz conference, expect an eclectic showing of dream films throughout the conference. Unwind from an intense day of dreaming by entering the imaginary world of film. Look to the conference program for full details.

Other Special Events

With planning still underway, look for other special events including an exhibit of Peace Trains from the World Dreams Peace Bridge, impromptu dinner caravans to local eateries, walks along the Bay, and other events to come. Full details will be found in the conference program and be available during daily morning conference announcements. Stay Tuned!
