The conference site is part of the area called "Holmen", which from the 15th century until the early 1990’s was a headquarter for the Danish Navy. Ten years ago it was transformed into a cultural and residential area which hosts a number of national educational institutions for the arts in the fields of architecture, film, theatre and rhythmic music, as well as the new Royal Opera House.

PRE- AND POST-CONFERENCE PROGRAM

For those staying before or after the conference in Denmark/Europe for holidays:

23rd JUNE
A special post-conference event has been organised for the evening of the 23rd June, which is the traditional solstice celebration "Sankt Hans". ASD conference attendees are invited for a joint excursion, taking us north of Copenhagen to witness the traditional bonfires and singing along the coast. If you choose to stay for this day you will experience a very picturesque evening and take back home additional nice memories from your stay. A special sign- up at the time of registration is required.
