Enjoying the Conference…

With nearly one hundred presenters scheduled to stimulate and stir dream life, several special events and social gatherings are planned to help relax and inspire fun.

Opening Reception
Friday evening, June 24, 2005

Come enjoy a memorable opening gathering with friends and colleagues as we celebrate our 22nd conference. You will have the opportunity to renew old acquaintances as well as join face to face (no email) with others in special interest groups such as psi dreaming, lucid dreaming, and clinical applications. We are excited to meet and greet our “first timers” to give them conference tips and previews.

Morning Dream Groups
Saturday-Tuesday Afternoons, June 25-28

The early risers can attend a morning dream group. Some of the groups focus on dream interpretation techniques and others relate to body work and dancing the dream.

Afternoon Yoga
Saturday-Tuesday Afternoons, June 25-28

And a special addition to this year's conference is afternoon yoga with Jim Emery, an instructor since 1980. Shake off the energy accumulated during the day with soothing body postures. In addition to Yoga postures, Jim will share a special Yoga practice for fountain of youth renewal called the Five Tibetan Rites. Be sure to check the daily schedule for the time and location.

Dream Lunch Buffet
Saturday-Tuesday Afternoons, June 25-28

IASD has arranged for a special discounted buffet luncheon at the hotel. Join us at the Doubletree’s Bay Grill or go outside weather permitting for a fabulous Dream Lunch Buffet. Mingle with friends and associates with the San Francisco Bay as your backdrop. Dream experts will be available at select tables. This luncheon is highly recommended for the best conference experience, and is offered at a discounted package rate of $28 and $52 for two and four day packages respectively, including tax and service. Register now as seating is limited. Tickets are limited and need to be ordered by June 13. See the conference registration form for details.

Art Reception
Saturday evening, June 25

Join us at the opening art reception as we celebrate the art of dreams and the dreams of art. A web-based art show premieres in conjunction with a limited on-site art show from June 24 – June 28, 2005.

SUNSET BAY CRUISE and RECEPTION
Sunday Evening, June 26

Register for a 2 hour dream cruise and dessert reception to be held Sunday evening on the gorgeous San Francisco Bay.  A $12 fee is requested to help defray the costs of the cruise. An additional ticket may be purchased for spouse/partner. See the conference registration form for ordering tickets.

Silent Auction/International Bazaar
Sunday Evening, June 26

A delectable selection of items from around the world will be presented for silent auction in the atrium from Friday night through Sunday. Bids close Sunday night and winners announced later that evening after Dream Telepathy Contest instructions. For a preview of auction items go to: http://worlddreamspeacebridge.org/asdauction/auction.htm
All proceeds go to the Aid for Traumatized Children Project of the World Dreams Peace Bridge.

Dream Basket Raffle: On Monday and Tuesday two dream baskets will be raffled to conference participants. Baskets include dream journal, light pen, dream pillow, bath salts, Sleepytime Tea, and other dream-inducing delights.

Universal Dream Dance Circle
hosted by Craig Sim Webb -- Monday Evening, June 27

A warm welcome to all dear souls who feel inspired to join a community circle dance ritual that combines various traditions and celebrates life and dreams with movement and music. It's a fun opportunity to charge up your physical and dream bodies with lots of lucid energy, and enjoy many friendly faces as you move and sing in harmony with the group. In this easy-going, supportive atmosphere, absolutely no previous experience is required (so don't listen to your inner critic if it tells you that you won't fit in!) Please feel free to invite along any guests who you think might enjoy the event.

Dream Ball
Tuesday evening, June 27

The conference concludes with the ever popular, and now traditional, Dream Ball. Come dressed as your favorite dream- inspired character and prepare to share an evening filled with the unexpected. Costume judging will take place early in the evening and lead into “strike up the band” with live music.

Other Special Events

With planning still underway, look for other special events including a dream hike, impromptu dinner caravans to local eateries, walks along the Bay, and other events to come. Full details will be found in the conference program and be available during daily morning conference announcements. Stay Tuned!
