Explore the meanings and mysteries of dreams and nightmares with
world-famous authors, psychotherapists, psychoanalysts, artists, educators
and researchers in the field of Dream Studies. Take advantage of the
daily social events, join in group lunches, purchase author-signed books,

authors, researchers and experts in the field of dreams and dreamwork that

VENUE
• The Conference will be held on the campus of Bridgewater State College,
located in a small, quiet town about 30 miles south of Boston. It is a
progressive, academically challenging public college with state-of-the-art
technology. The campus has relatively flat terrain and is easy to
traverse. The dormitory spaces for lodging the conference attendees are
modern and comfortable, and most rooms are airconditioned. (Register
early to ensure an airconditioned room). The food service (by Sodexho) is
cafeteria style for the main meals and of excellent quality. There is a
commuter rail line located right on campus which leads directly to South
Station in Boston where airport transport is available, and within easy
walking distance of major shopping and sight-seeing areas.
2006 Conference
Events
•
Over 125 workshops and events on all aspects of dreaming are planned, with
topics and events of interest to the general public as well as
professionals. Special events include: an Opening Reception and Keynote
by Michael Conforti, PhD, Tuesday evening; a Dream Arts Exhibition and
reception on Wednesday evening; a special luncheon with Monte Ullman, PhD,
a solstice visit to a Native American archaeoastronomical site, and a
Dream Telepathy Contest on Thursday; Orson Scott Card on Friday evening,
and on Saturday evening the ever popular closing costume "Dream Ball".
Earn CE credits (Continuing Education) and PDPs
(Professional Development Points) for selected sessions. The provider of
the CE credits is the IASD Dream Studies Continuing Education program.
IASD is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor
continuing education for psychologists. IASD maintains responsibility for

On-campus
housing and meals are strongly recommended since off-campus facilities
require personal transportation. Single day and full conference
registration will also be available onsite but without the
pre-registration discount, meals or housing (Individual meals may be
purchased on campus). A list of off-campus facilities can be found
by clicking here.
Lodging in East Hall (which is air-conditioned) is limited to 200 rooms
(300 persons). Lodging beyond this will be accommodated in other
residence halls on campus which are not air-conditioned. When you
register you may either pay online with a credit card, or complete the
transaction and follow up by mail with a check. Alternately you can mail
in the registration form attached below, with your check or credit card
information. Note:
Rates increase after 10 June, and no campus housing or meal
reservations are possible after 1 June, so don't wait.
TRANSPORT
•
Driving distance is 30 miles from Boston to the Bridgewater campus. The
commuter rail line is located right on campus which connects directly to
South Station in Boston where airport transport is available by cab or
shuttle. Knight's limo service is also available from Logan and T.F.

About the International Association for the Study of Dreams
The IASD is a nonprofit,
international, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the pure and
applied investigation of dreams and dreaming. Its purpose is to promote an
awareness and appreciation of dreams in both professional and public
arenas; to encourage research into the nature, function, and significance
of dreaming; to advance the application of the study of dreams; and to
provide a forum for the eclectic and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas
and information. IASD is open to anyone who studies, explores, or works
with dreams. Membership represents about 30 countries and people from all
disciplines including: psychology, psychiatry, social work, education at
all levels, religious studies, anthropology, medicine, the expressive and
performing arts, literature, philosophy, humanities and business.
