You may fly in to San Francisco, Oakland, Santa Rosa, or Sacramento. See this link for driving directions from the airports. For public transit on Airport Express buses, see directions below.

From San Francisco Airport (SFO)

Take the Sonoma County Airport Express bus to the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park (90 minute to 2 hour commute time depending on time of day). From there it is a 10 minute taxi drive to the Cooperage on the SSU campus.  Airport Express fees are $28 one way to the Doubletree (senior and student ID rate is $26) paid by cash or travelers check--no credit cards accepted.  Online advance ticketing is available.  Passengers are allowed 2 pieces of stored baggage; extra is $6 per piece of luggage. Buses are wheel-chair accessible; contact Airport Express to insure your bus will have lift access.

Look for the AIRPORTER or AIRPORT EXPRESS wall signs at the baggage claim area of any terminal, and follow the signs outside to the pickup area.  The Airport Express buses leave from the pickup point at the first curb out from the terminal outside the baggage claim areas. For international travelers, the International Terminal pickup is located at the Arrivals Level, outside customs in the outer roadway center island at the AIRPORTERS zone. Please note that there may be no departure schedules posted at the pickup point; so download a schedule now at the link below so you will know departure times.  Bus service from SFO is more frequent than from Oakland. Buses are air-conditioned, spacious, quite comfortable, have a restroom, and seat 47 people per bus. Also please note that other Airport Express buses stop at this pickup point-- take only the Sonoma County Airporter, or Airport Express to Sonoma County--don't take the Marin County Airporter!

Notify the bus driver that you would like a taxi at the Doubletree.  He will radio ahead and there will be one waiting for you.  The taxi ride is about a 10 minute, $15 fare ride.  Take the taxi to the Cooperage at Sonoma State.  This is where you will check in.

Leaving Sonoma State, you will need to call a taxi for pickup at the Cooperage at SSU, for a ride  to the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park.  You can usually reserve a taxi about a week of ahead of time, so you can reserve your departing taxi when you arrive at the conference.
