Title of Work:     Veiled Understanding
Medium:             Oils on Cotton Canvas
Date Created:     2001

This roughly reads "What will you choose to see once the veil has been lifted from your eyes".  So many of my dreams have an unveiling affect, going from one "area" to another, each time with another veil drifting away and my eyes seeing clearer and clearer.

Title of Work:     Mab
Medium:             Watercolor and Guache on Blackboard
Date Created:     2000

This painting literally came out of water.  I was just moving the watercolors in a puddle of water on the board and she formed right of the center of the water, announcing herself.  I have since seen her in my dreams, once as the Moon itself after i went through a mirror into a rain forest.  I have since moved and have been in this exact forest here, in Hawaii from the dream, also someone took a picture of me while spinning fire out here that looks amazingly similar to the painting. There are no be-fore's or afters, just circular connections.

Title of Work:     Through the Waters
Medium:             Colored Pencil on Recycled Paper
Date Created:     2009

I was lucid dreaming when I went up into an older shop on the second floor, there was a boy there, young, blond, bright eyes, he wasn't alive but he was here in the dreaming plane.  He was drawing and we spoke about art and dreams.  I had such a love and fondness for him and at that moment we were both there as real as stone or air,  This drawing reminds me of him, now with the invisible wall that separates one reality from another.  I like that there is growth and water where he is.

Title of Work:     Light Bringer
Medium:             Oils on Cotton Canvas
Date Created:     2002

I had a flying dream where I saw the inside of my body, of my heart. It was on fire and the structures made of fire. There were these waves of heat, these bright flashes of ignition and a feeling of chaos and uncontrollable emotional turmoil.  It was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my dreaming world.  In this waking world I had gone through the hardest breakup in my life and lost a true love.  As I was painting this, I had no idea what I was painting, just that I was pouring out my heart.  My nose was inches from the canvas and when I finally stepped away to see the "mess" I had made, I was shocked to find that it was the dream, beautiful cathedrals made of fire, burning, and an echo of my lost love in the doorway beckoning.
