The Outer Inn

Hosts: Dolores Nurss and Curtiss Hoffman

Part of the magic of a conference happens outside the presentations, as people gather in the cafe, garden, bar, lobby or what have you.  There, synergy blossoms, as people go off topic or combine topics recklessly, make new friends, greet old friends, swap dreams and brainstorm together.  In that spirit, we provide the Outer Inn, a virtual establishment to attend to your every need and desire (almost) where guests may enjoy any amenity that they can dream up (But stay aware of the Law of Unintended Consequences.  Anything can Happen Here!).

Be sure to check out your room assignment, and see what happens when you dream yourself there.  We will design a room for anyone who announces their arrival.  We respect the privacy of those who prefer to lurk.  We serve calorie-free food and drink, and cater to all your virtual needs.

Note: The Outer Inn may, in addition, make a good focal point or destination for incubated dreams.  Every year gives it more substance in the imaginal realm.  We welcome your contributions to this ongoing process.

2010 Dream Collage
The Place For Dreams

Hosts: Janet Garrett and Tine Metz

Following the successful debut of the Place for Dreams at the 2010 Conference, Janet and Tine have agreed to act as hosts again this year.  This conference-long event was conceived to address conference attendees' requests for a place to post their dreams--and dreams that may or may not have anything to do with the contests, workshops, or whatever else is going on.  This is that place.

But it's more than that, because Tine will once again create a collage based on images from the dreams posted here.  Tine's amazing collages have enchanted conference attendees in the past, and many said they hoped this would become a regular feature.  Your wish is our command.

In addition, you can of course ask others to comment on your dream--or not, as you wish; and, of course, IASD ethical guidelines apply to all interactions on this thread.  The Place for Dreams will be open from the first day of the conference to the last

Lucid Dreaming For All Portal

LD4all is a vibrant online community of lucid dreamers.  Founded in 1996 by PasQuale Ourtane, it now has over 25,000 members worldwide and is still growing.  PasQuale is still running LD4all while at the same time completing her Masters in Applied Cognitive Psychology at Leiden University.

In the past, PasQuale (or Q as her friends call her, has created the forum for the PsiberDreaming Conference as well as conference graphics.  This year, however, due to the PsiberDreaming theme and Q's tight schedule, we welcome some of the active members of the LD4all forum to be with us.

This portal will consist of a paper giving a brief history of LD4all and a Q&A place on everything anyone wants to know about lucid dreaming.  "Over the years," says Q, "almost every question imaginable about lucid dreaming has been asked on LD4all--and answered.  Five LD4all experts will be present to answer questions based on their own experience, and the collective wisdom of LD4all.  www.LD4all.com
