I first joined ASD in 1989. I was conference co-chair for the Leiden and Tufts conferences, then for a few years ran the ASD membership database, and am on the research grant committee. I am standing for election to the Board so that I can help maintain and improve our recruitment of the academic dream research community.I have various experimental psychology research interests, including nightmares, lucid dreaming, and the mnemonic sources of dream imagery. I am Professor of Psychology at Swansea University in Wales. I am a consulting editor for IASD’s journal Dreaming and for the Journal of Sleep Research. |
| Teresa DeCicco, Ph.D. (Canada) |
I am a professor, researcher and applied clinician in dreams. I have authored many scientific articles and the recent book: The Giant Compass: Navigating Your Life With Your Dreams. In 2005, I joined IASD and since then have been involved in numerous research presentations, workshops and hot-off-the press talks. The best way that I can serve the IASD board is with my strong research and applied background. In my career I have focused on developing international collaborations in Italy, India and across the US. I have encouraged many researchers to join IASD and to present papers at the IASD meetings. It is through collaboration, education and awareness that IASD can grow and contribute to the science and applications of dreaming. |

| Curt Hoffman, Ph.D. (USA- Mass.) |
I am an archaeologist teaching at Bridgewater State College, MA, with interests in Jungian psychology, myth, consciousness, and Native American cultures. My Ph.D. (Yale 1974) explored animal symbolism in Mesopotamian art. I've been an IASD member since 1997, and I've presented at all conferences since (except 1998) on a range of subjects - some published in Dreaming, DreamTime, and the Dream Network Journal.I've served as a Board member and as Vice President, and as conference host in 2006 and program chair in 2009. I've served on the Development, Bylaws, Student Awards, and On-Line Committees. I am planning a regional conference in Jordan for 2010 or 2011, and I will be program chair again for 2010. I will perform my duties to the best of my ability to assist IASD to achieve its mission. I see our chief task being to extend our membership offerings to a wider audience. |
| David L. Kahn (USA-Minnesota) |
I am author of A Dream Come True, columnist for The Lucid Dream Exchange, and member of the World Dreams Peace Bridge. Articles of mine have appeared in Dream Network Journal and The New Age Journal.
I first joined IASD in 2006 at which time I attended the regional conference in St. Paul, Minnesota and the Psiber Dreaming conference. My presentations have been at the 2007 Psiber Dreaming conference as well as Dream Salons at Monkey Bridge Arts in 2007 and 2008. This year I will be presenting at the annual IASD conference in Chicago. With my background in business, I would be able to assist IASD with financial matters, if elected a Board Member. I have gained much from IASD and look forward to an opportunity to give back through service on the Board. |

I am also a mother of 9-month-old boy.Since joining IASD in 2004, I have enjoyed and participated in many conferences. I have presented on topics such as the dream tradition in Japan, dance/movement and dreaming, and dream sharing in international and regional conferences. I also volunteered at the Bridgewater conference. My article "Dreaming in Japan" was published in Dream Time. I have kept a dream journal for about 10 years and am a member of World Dreams Peace Bridge, too. As a prospective Board member I would like to pay particular attention to international and cultural issues within IASD and help IASD grow into a truly international organization. |
| Suzanne Wiltink, M.S. (Netherlands) |
I am a psychologist, and live with my 4-year old daughter in the Netherlands. Recently I have taken a new job at a private practice for brief psychological treatments, (Jungian) psychotherapy and mindfullness. My interests in dreaming include the use of dreams in therapy, lucid dreaming and spiritual development.I first came in contact with IASD in 2004 at the Copenhagen conference. Going there opened a whole new world for me, enabling me to connect and share with like-minded people. Since then, IASD and its members and activities, have been a vital source of inspiration for me. I took part in a panel presentation in Sonoma 2007 and served as a thread monitor at last year’s PsiberDreaming conference. Living in the Netherlands, I would like to assist the further development of IASD’s accessibility in Europe, and help build and expand its network overseas. I plan to help organize a (regional) conference in Europe as a volunteer, and would like to pilot the approval of the CE credits from the distance learning courses at licensing boards here. I acknowledge that I understand the board duties. |
