Strangers of the Night: What Dream Characters Reveal About Us
Some dream characters behave as if they have minds of their own, debating with us, surprising us, even intimidating or flirting with us. Drawing on decades of personal dream encounters and scientific research, this talk explores how engaging with these figures can reveal the hidden workings of the dreaming mind, foster creativity, and open a fresh window onto our unconscious imagination.
Antonio Zadra holds a PhD in clinical psychology and is a well-known sleep and dream researcher and professor of psychology at the Université de Montréal. His research interests include recurrent dreams, nightmares, lucid dreaming and sleepwalking. He is the co-author of When Brains Dream: Understanding the Science and Mystery of Our Dreaming Minds and the author of The Dreamkeepers, a suspense novel blending sleep science with dream mythology.
