Dream: November 21, 2007 In a town that's small and old, I'm giving a talk about history. Touring various buildings, they show me the documents -- diaries, records, journals, logs. Some are written out to the edge with odd little symbols and drawings. The paper is tough and waxy and makes the coverless books resemble chunks of cheese; the pages pull apart like slices.
