Something’s headed toward Earth.  It’s coming.  There’s going to be a big reaction on Earth.  The axis will change.  The spinning will change speed.  I have an idea.  If ALL the people on Earth walk in the same direction (East) … and then RUN in the Easterly direction … we can slow down the Earth’s rotation.  Then, when the asteroid comes near, it’ll just speed us up to normal again!

Title of Work:     Fitting In

There are several discs, about the size of small hockey pucks.  The problem that’s being solved (like math) is how to put them together.  A natural configuration comes up; but as it is expressed, an even better solution is found.  I know when they swell up, they’ll fit better this way.

We’ve been journeying.  Several people want to continue going west, although we’re already at the shore of the Pacific.  They want to continue their quest, and they don’t want the water to stop them.  They’re swimming out to concrete rafts which are huge and arranged like a barrier.  Many climb up onto the one on the far right of the cove.  As they climb on, the slab is heavier on the front side.  It begins to tip over and they (and we) see the dangerous potential.  The ones who are already on top scramble toward the far side, but more are trying to climb on top.  It tips further, sliding the guys back down and now all the weight is on the front; and the raft turns over on top of the ten or so guys that attempted to leave.  My mind imagines they’ll all die, but my heart argues that this concrete was floating before, so it’ll continue to float, except upside down (for now), and the men can swim out from below and be safe.  I imagine that the outcome will be the one I BELIEVE.

Title of Work:     Fragments Can Kill

A big man approaches my friend with a loud accusation.  Howard doesn’t turn.  I get frantic with fear, because the big man has picked up two of our glass coasters, and is holding them with purpose.  I wonder what he’ll do with them.  He raises them in an effort to kill Howard.  One of the coasters will be used as a guide and the other will pith him in the back of the neck, with the sharp corner.  I see it coming.  I cry out, “No!  Don’t do this!” as a warning to him as well as a protest … but the gesture continues and Howard doesn’t turn.  His back is exposed.  I wake with fear and feel responsible that I couldn’t warn him.

Title of Work:     How Do You See Me?
Medium:             Photograph

A man is creating something.  I come around to the front to get a better look.  He’s got a cutting device like a hedge trimmer.  People are sitting in bleachers.  He trims all of their heads off so that their hair kind of blends together like a hedge.  The people seated in the center are lower and the tops of their heads look like bright colored round tubs of 31-flavors ice cream.  The man sculpts through them at an angle, and the colors are now even ellipses.
