PSIBERDREAMING 2010 SPECIAL EVENTS & FEATURES

NEW THIS YEAR
The Place for Dreams that Collages can be Made of . . .

Janet Garrett and Christine Metz

Attendees at previous conferences have often requested a place to post their dreams - any dreams, that may or may not have anything to do with the contests, workshops, or whatever else is going on. This is that place.

But it's more than that. By popular demand - Christina (Tine) Metz has offered to make collages of the dreams posted here. Tine produced an amazing collage of our dreams at last year's conference, and several conference attendees hoped that that this would become a regular feature. Your wish is our command.

Janet is about to embark on a master's thesis on shared dreaming, so she will be interested to see how much the dreams on this thread will reflect group/mutual/shared dreaming - whatever you like to call it. She may also try out some analysis techniques (with permission of the dreamers) on some of the dreams posted here. Whatever she discovers will be shared at the end of the conference.

In addition, you can of course ask others to comment on your dream - or not, as you wish. And of course, IASD ethical guidelines will apply to all interactions on this thread. This Place for Dreams will be open from the first day of the conference to the last.

Janet Garrett has been interested in all aspects of dreams for more that 20 years. She attended her first PsiberDreaming Conference in 2004, and has worked backstage at the PDC since 2008. Janet also recently joined the team that produces IASD's Dream News, and is currently studying for an MSc in Consciousness & Transpersonal Psychology.

PsiberDreaming Art Gallery

Gallery Host Laura Atkinson is once again pleased to offer the annual PsiberDreaming Art Gallery which opens online September 26, 2010. Nine years in the running, this online gallery has showcased international artists who have connected with their dreams in some type of artistic fashion. There’s no medium that is left untouched. Poets, painters, digital artists, collage, fiber arts and more are available to be viewed.

In the numerological spirit of the number 9, participants will connect with global artists who are showcasing their creative ability, imagination and talent via their dream-art. In 2008, over sixty international artists answered the call for dream-based artwork, and this year is proving to have the same popularity. What makes a virtual dream-art gallery so popular? The willingness of the individuals who take the steps to render their nightly visions artistically, and their willingness to share it with the world.

Laura will also be presenting a Dream Art Making workshop as part of the Art Gallery thread, geared to people of all artistic abilities to start drawing their dreams.
