Have you ever awakened from a dream that left you feeling stunned; a dream so vivid or impactful—and so unexpected—that it changes your life from that point forward?

Imagine you could ask a question of a dream character, or the dream itself, and watch as a profoundly surprising response appears. Suppose you could take action in your dream to eliminate a recurring nightmare, heal a relationship, or even a physical ailment. The 100 dreamers in the IASD book Dreams That Change Our Lives have!

IASD collected dream stories from our members and those with an association to IASD, and compiled 100 of them into a book. These are what might be called big dreams—stories of life-changing guidance, insight, and healing; some that reach beyond the senses and even beyond death.

They are presented as guideposts along our life's journey, and introduced by 22 internationally acclaimed experts, psychologists, researchers, and best-selling authors from the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD).

From the book

“…Transcendent change can occur within the dream, whether we recall, work on or understand the dream or not. The following dream occurred to a man who had been offered a teaching position in an area he once was an expert but had been away from for a very long time. He felt there was no way he could resurrect his skills—they were gone forever. He had decided to turn down the offer when he had the following dream:

‘I dreamed I was walking in the desert and saw an old rusty car with a man inside that was not moving; I assumed he was dead. My unseen companion behind me said, “He is just asleep, go ahead and shake him.” I argued that it was useless but finally at the insistence I shook the man. At that point he came alive and the car turned into a brand new car.’

After the dream the dreamer changed his mind and accepted the position. It was only much later that he returned to look at the dream he had written down and realized that it related to his decision…”
